“I have just returned from Valencia, where I presided over the jury of the XV Alhambra International Guitar Competition, in which the four winners were selected from a large number of participants from various countries around the world.
But I want to highlight something that is rare or hardly ever happens in these competitions, and that is that the First Prize was awarded to a 16-year-old young man who fascinated the jury and the audience with his technique and interpretative maturity.
